Chapter 14 — The Book of Value

How does Value Village view partnerships?

/ Summary

Partners at Value Village are 'people who grow culture with us' — the principle is co-growth, not extraction.

  • Partners: producers, researchers, medical professionals, educators, artisans, local communities, and government.
  • Rules: never squeeze; contracts are records of trust, not the source of it.

Chapter 8

THE PARTNERS

Companions in culture

A Village is never built by one company.

Producers. Researchers. Medical professionals. Educators. Artisans. Local communities. Government.

We do not like the word 'supplier'. What we want are companions who grow culture with us.

So we do not squeeze. A partner's profit carries the same weight as our own. A partner's growth is our growth.

Losing a long-term partner for a short-term gain would break the code of the Village.

Before the contract, we exchange trust. The contract is only a record of that trust.
