THE PRINCIPLES

Culture is born from principles

Rules restrain people. Principles set them free.

Rules tell you what not to do. Principles tell you who you are.

Value Village lives by 12 Principles.

  1. People Before Products — People come before products.
  2. Health Is the Foundation — Health is the foundation of everything.
  3. Trust Takes Time — Trust is not built in a day.
  4. Community Creates Value — No one becomes rich alone.
  5. Learn Forever — Keep learning.
  6. Respect Nature — Live with nature.
  7. Think Generations — Think of the next generation, not the next quarter.
  8. Every Person Matters — Every single person has value.
  9. Grow Together — Grow together.
  10. Build Culture Before Cities — Culture before cities.
  11. Leave a Legacy — Leave what deserves to be left.
  12. Live With Purpose — Life has a purpose.

These are not walls. They are a compass.
